"He Adores You" Layout By Jessy Christopher

Hey hey! Hope you had an awesome time celebrating V-day a couple days back! I am back with another layout created using the fun & awesome Feb kit. In the midst of all the fairies in the kit, it's awesome that Pixie Chief, Kirsty included some very fun papers and embellies.

I was so happy to see EP paper that fills with cheery polka dots in the kit and it is perfect for me to create my own background by using glimmer mist. I love to play with mist to bits! Pixie shop has some awesome glimmer mist colors & you can check them HERE!

Misted the MR chipboard frame too!

I matted the photo with vintage music sheet that you can get in Jan kit. Also matted the EP paper with Webster's diecut paper that is in your Feb kit.

Happy scrapping!
Xoxo Jessy

Kirsty's Note -
Love how you used that EP paper Jessy, this layout instantly turn into a FUN + HAPPY page!

lovebirds by lauren bergold

does anyone else ever plan a whole project around a dollar store find?! because i often do, and i'm just wondering if that's odd or not? case in point: i found this sweet little 5x4" wire birdcage at michael's and although i didn't know what on earth i'd do with it, i HAD TO have it!

i bet this thing sat on my bookshelf, unused, for six months! and then when the january pixie dust kit, MY FUNKY VALENTINE arrived, suddenly i thought, "lovebirds!" there's a sweet little bird diecut in the kit that i knew would work perfectly, but it's quite small so i copied it at 150% and again at 175% so i'd wind up with birds that were similarly sized, but not exactly the same. i cut two of each size from coordinating papers in the kit held back-to-back.

i inked the edges, placed a bit of fiberfill stuffing between the two halves, and then glued them together. then i verrrrrrrrrry carefully hand-cranked my sewing machine around the edges of each bird.

next i added wings and feathers: the former consisting of hearts, and the latter of flourishes, cut from paper scraps. stick-on pearls and pink rhinestones from my stash made perfect eyes.

to dress up the cage a bit i hung nested hearts that i diecut from more papers in the kit. i used the pretty dear lizzy flower trim to line it, and some of the pixie dust signature seam binding to decorate the top.

and finally the lovebirds were ready for valentine's day...or perhaps for a very special anniversary?

either way, i'm pretty sure they'd like to be alone right now, so i will sign off and give them a bit of privacy! ♥♥♥

Isn't that the cutest pair???? Perfect for Valentine's Day, thanks Lauren!!!

"My Wish" Layout by Jessy Christopher/ GIVEAWAY winner and NEW GIVEAWAY

Recently, we just got back from Gili Island and the photo above was taken at the beautiful island. I am glad that we are still growing strong in our relationship as a couple and I pray that God will continue to bless us with many more years to come!! Cause this is the only guy I wanna grow old with :) That's my ULTIMATE wish!

Love the flower brads in the heart!! Hehe. You know how corny I can be. LOL!

And that metal key & key hole are one of my fav in the "Funky Valentine" kit. I wish there was more!! LOL! To fill the chipboard heart all I did was to spray glimmer mist on it and leave it absorb and dry! The wings, I just apply glitters on them :)

Hope you are inspired to scrap for your loved ones :)
Xoxo Jessy

"Sleepy Baby Tobes" Layout by Jessy Chritopher

Another layout for an awesome kit! My Funky Valentine Jan kit is a must have...seriously!

I really love this MME paper alot and didn't want to cut it into pieces so I chose to "enhance" the paper & at the same time I wanted to keep it simple. So I worked on the left side of the paper where it was covered with designs. To subtle the scripts I used gesso.

I love these pictures of my fur-baby, Tobes. Always love seeing him curled up on the pink chair in the craft room. He reminded me of human baby curling in the mom's womb.

Also adored those Maya Road wings in the kit and decided to add it onto Tobes's back. His fur is white so he looks so angelic here! LOL! Another great way to do your title is by doodling it! I find it very arty as well :)

The American Crafts metal key is a perfect match for this vintage looking paper. Don't you think so?

Xoxo Jessy

"love abc" card by Zielonooka

This 3D card was created from scraps of the papers (I mean the remnants of the papers). I put the paper with notes under American Craft "Delightful Robin" paper (I used it as a mask) and used sponge to apply the ink.
So that’s my “Valentine scrap card”.

XOXO

See you next time:)

"Girly" Layout by Jessy Christopher

Throughout my years of scrapbooking, I have met alot of amazing scrapper-friends far & near in real life! Scrapper-friends are the best, no?!

Sharm is one of them that I am glad to call a friend now! I met her when she attended my class and we instantly kept in touch and now we are more than a scrapper-friend. She is a very gentle & gracious lady. A very talented crafter too! I truly enjoy our girly moments :)

That beautiful Deal Lizzy rose trim is a must-have!

Those October Afternoon stickers are also a perfect addition for girly layouts!

Journaling is an awesome way to treasure those precious thoughts!

Remember to drop by my blog HERE & I will show you how I did the background :)

Can wait no more, grab a "Funky Valentine" kit today!
Xoxo Jessy

"butterfly" by Zielonooka

Hi:)

It's me, misssss Z:D

I really wanted to use American Crafts "Delightful Robin" paper but didn’t have any idea for what and how. Finally I had the idea to cut out the butterflies, which I really love and put them in the center of the card as the main motive. The paper from which they were cut is very delicate that’s why I applied UTTE preparation to strengthen them. I add some glitter on the wings to give them extra shine. Next, I sew up brown ribbon and arranged it in the shape of a rose.

I am waiting for your comments:).

Have a great day!!:)

XOXO

-Zielonooka

Kirsty's Note -
Well, I want to be the first to leave comment, and it is "SIMPLY GORGEOUS"! What a creation Miss Z! Thanks!

my type of birthday card by lauren bergold

if i had to pick just *one* favorite from the sheet of october afternoon "thrift shop" stickers in the january pixie dust paperie kit MY FUNKY VALENTINE, i thiiiiiiiiink it'd be the vintage royal typewriter. it's gorgeous. it's pink. it's positively resplendent, don't you agree??!

luckily, neither you nor i need consider making such a difficult choice, since of course the entire sheet is included in the kit, and after you've used the typewriter... (perhaps by festooning it with small butterflies on a fabulously funky birthday card??!)

...you can dive back in for the trio of 1960's ladies...or the cool black bakelite telephone...or that divine strip of carnival tickets!

and now if you'll excuse me, i think i feel a few more cards coming on!!! :)

Kirsty's Note -
Absolutely gorgeous Lauren, thanks!
